Bueno llegó la hora de hacer un recopilado de lo que en mi opinión son los mejores discos del año, como siempre hay buenos discos que se quedan afuera por diversas razones, pero aquí tienen los mejores 20. Nota: poner los videos de youtube en buena calidad para que se escuche bien :)

Dragged Into Sunlight - WidowMaker (2012)

Widowmaker es el segundo disco de estos Ingleses que basa su sonido en el Doom más oscuro combinado con Death y Black para crear atmósferas aplastantes. Bajo la portada sumamente bizarra de este disco encontramos una canción de larga duración dividida en 3 secciones. La Parte I es un intro acústico muy extendido, suaves acordes de guitarra acompañados de un violín se combinan para crear una ambientación que presagia la venida de algo malo. La Parte II es un aplastante Doom con voces Black/Death, originales y demoledores riffs crean sonidos infernales, para mi gusto es la mejor parte del disco. La Parte III es quizás la más atmosférica, con densas murallas de sonidos Drone con un final muy Black ponen fin a este soundtrack del apocalipsis.   

Un disco nada pretencioso por lo que se debe escuchar con calma y tiempo para poder disfrutarlo mejor. El artwork tan llamativo del disco fue realizado por Justin Bartlett, aquí les dejo el link de su página por si quieren ver más de sus trabajos: LINK
